Massive win of $168 million on the Mega MillionsJuly 25th 2019 12:47
Tuesday 23rd July saw a lottery player from New Hampshire, USA win the Mega Millions jackpot of $168 million. That player now has the option of claiming the full jackpot amount in equal payments over 30 years or taking the one-time cash payout option of $108 million.
This is the first time that the state of New Hampshire has had a jackpot winner on the Mega Millions since the state started playing in 2010. The last time the Mega Millions jackpot was won was on the Friday, June 7th draw when a Californian player took home a colossal jackpot win of $530 million.
Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery said: “New Hampshire is lucky again as somebody woke up a multimillionaire today! We have been waiting patiently for our first Mega Millions jackpot winner and now that we finally have a winner, the excitement is off the charts. We cannot wait to meet our big winner. Congratulations to the Brookside Market & Deli for selling the winning ticket.” The Mega Millions draws take place twice a week, on a Tuesday and a Friday.
Spanish Luck on EuroMillions
A player from Spain won an incredible EuroMillions jackpot of €107 million on last week’s Friday, July 19th draw. This win is the fifth largest EuroMillions win by a Spanish lottery player. The individual has not come forward to claim their winnings yet, but under Spanish law has 90 days to do so, and needs to come forward before the prize becomes void. Spanish players may stay anonymous or go public with their news if they choose to.
Coming to the end of August we see another week with the UK Lotto at £3.8 million, and a EuroMillions jackpot at €30 million. In the USA, the Powerball rolls over to £75 million, and the Mega Millions resets to $40 million after the midweek jackpot win.
