Nagaland is the undisputed lottery capital of India, running up to eight draws a day each week along with multiple bumper draws through the year during special festivals and landmark dates. The Dear Morning, Day and Evening draws are also the basis for the Lottery Sambad scheme that is one of the most popular draws in the country.
The Nagaland Lottery department was established in order to increase the state's revenue and oversee the efficient running of all lotteries. The finance department of the state government announces lottery schemes and results. All the lotteries that come under the government of Nagaland are legal and safe.
Draws take place at the Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries, P.R. Hill Junction, Nagaland, Kohima – 797001.

These are the most popular weekly draws in the state that are also the basis for the three Lottery Sambad draws.
The Dear 10 Weekly, Labhlaxmi Weekly and Dear Laxmi 10 Weekly all offer a top prize of Rs. 10,000. The draws take place at 1:30pm, 4:00pm and 7:00pm and cost just Rs. 10 to enter. Tickets are sold labelled 90 to 99 / 0000 to 9999 and there are a total of five prize tiers you can win in.
The final weekly lotteries are the Dear 50 and Dear 100 draws, that take place on alternating days starting with the Dear 100 Fawn Weekly Lottery on a Monday. The ticket prices are Rs. 50 or Rs.100 and the top prizes are 5 Lakhs or 10 Lakhs respectively. The draws take place at 4:00pm following the Labhlaxmi draws.
Monthly and Bi-Monthly Draws
There are two draws that take place monthly in addition to the usual weekly draws. These are the Dear 500 Bi-Monthly Lottery that takes place on the second and fourth Saturday of each month and the Dear 200 Gold Monthly Lottery that takes place on the third Saturday of each month.
The Dear 500 bi-monthly lottery takes place at 6:00pm on a Saturday and offers six levels of prizes, starting at Rs. 6,000 and increasing to the Rs. 2.50 Crore jackpot. Tickets cost Rs. 500 and are labelled from 100 000 to 499 999 in just one series, making the odds of winning the jackpot much better than all the weekly draws.
The Dear 200 Gold Monthly is drawn just once a month and costs Rs. 200 to enter. Tickets are in just one series labelled 500 000 to 999 999, giving it the same odds as the bi-monthly draw that are much better than the weekly lotteries. The top prize is Rs. 1.50 Crore for matching the six digit number drawn, but there are an additional five other prize tiers to win in for lower payouts.
Nagaland Bumper Draws
Nagaland Lottery Bumper draws are scheduled a few times a year, offering even bigger prizes to celebrate special dates on the calendar. There are currently seven bumper draws held each year:
