The first outdoor Big Ticket Live Draw since 2020 took place for Series 245 on Thursday, 3rd November. It saw Indian national, Sajesh NS, win Dh 25 million, which he will share with a group of 20 co-workers. Sajesh has been living in Dubai for two years, having moved from Oman. He works as a purchasing manager at a restaurant in the Karama area of Dubai. Sajesh has now been playing the Big Ticket for four years, although he has won nothing until now.
47-year-old Sajesh’s winning ticket number was 316764, and the prize money is equivalent to Rs 55 crores. This means that every player should receive about Rs 2.5 crores each. When asked what he would like to do with his newfound wealth, Sajesh said, “There are over 150 employees at the hotel where I work, and I would like to help out as many of them as I can by sharing a portion of my winnings with them”. His co-workers will be discussing ways in which they can better themselves with their winnings.
Was Sajesh going to play the lottery again? “My experience taught me to never give up our dreams. We will continue to purchase tickets and try our luck.” December will be a good time to play the Big Ticket because for the first time the prize will be worth Dh 30 million!
This week saw the biggest known win on a lottery ever, with $2.04 billion being won on the USA’s Powerball draw on Tuesday the 8th of November. This Friday the jackpot is still worth playing at $47 million, while the rival Mega Millions is up to $189 million. The EuroMillions, meanwhile, is worth €30 million, and the UK Lotto jackpot this Saturday would win you £4 million.
