Aviation Worker is Flying High after Winning $1 Million June 9th 2022 11:09

It was an amazing day for 50-year-old Riyas Kamaluddin, an Indian national who has just won one million US dollars (about Rs 7.7 crore) in the Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire raffle. This most recent draw, Series MM391, took place on the 8th of June at Concourse C of Dubai International Airport.

Kamaluddin has been working in Abu Dhabi as an aviation worker for the last 25 years, and bought his winning ticket, number 4330, with a group of six of his friends and work colleagues. He has been playing DDF promotions for a long time, and said of his amazing win, "I’ve been buying tickets for the last 15 years. We’ve constantly been testing our luck, and finally, we’ve won!” Each lucky player should now receive around Rs 1.1 crore.

The father of two is the 191st Indian national to win the top prize of $1 million since the inception of the Millennium Millionaire raffle in 1999. Sadly, no Indians came out on top this month for the three luxury vehicles that featured in the Finest Surprise draws.
